The University of Nebraska Medical Center is Seeking a Gynecologic Oncologist

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE is actively recruiting for a Gynecologic Oncologist. The successful candidate will join three gynecologic oncologists as a fourth member of the division.  Responsibilities include provision of clinical care as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Nebraska Medicine, and overseeing resident and medical student education.  Clinical research and basic science collaborations are available. Support services include an outstanding radiation oncology department, dedicated gynecologic pathologist, genetic counseling with onsite testing and a strong palliative care service.  Access to DaVinci Robot is available on-site. 

The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center opened in 2017, allowing all UNMC cancer physicians and scientists to work side-by-side in a world-class facility.  The largest building project ever on campus, it includes:

  • 10-story, 98-laboratory research tower
  • Seven-story, 108-bed inpatient treatment center
  • Multidisciplinary outpatient facility

The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent degree) who has completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship program and is board certified/eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
