Pediatric Urologist/Researcher

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in either the non-tenure clinician educator track or the tenure track. Expertise is required in the specific area of pediatric urology with a focus on major surgical reconstructive techniques in children with urologic problems. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Urology or eligible for such certification.

Teaching responsibilities may include instruction of medical students and residents as well as pediatric urology fellows in the operating room, outpatient clinic and on inpatient rounds.

Clinical responsibilities may include care for urologic patients, including open, endoscopic and, in particular, robotics surgery.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include studies in the areas of clinical outcomes, stone disease and reconstruction.

All candidates must have completed training through an ACGME-approved pediatric urology fellowship. A strong basic science background and demonstrated potential for developing independent research will be preferred.

We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense. The University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia are EOEs. Minorities/women/individuals with disabilities/protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
