Responsibilities
NURSE FLOAT PERSONNEL
12 HR, NIGHTS SHIFT
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Patient Safety Advocate maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Communicates observations of the patient's activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse. Communicates in a professional manner and demonstrates respect for patient, families/significant other and other health care members. Offers support to peers and staff.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing.
- Within 90 days be eligible to participate in a C.N.A. Training program.
- BLS (AHA) certification within 90 days of hire and maintain current.
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) training within 90 days of hire and every two years thereafter.
Employees must be in their current position for a minimum of six calendar months and not received any disciplinary action within the last six months to apply and be considered for a transfer.
