RESPONSIBILITIES

WellStar Medical Groupis seeking a Trauma Surgical Critical Care Physician to join our well established Level 2 Trauma Center at WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center. This 633-bed hospital is located in Marietta, GA, approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA, and has the busiest ED in Georgia. This position will include trauma, emergency general surgery and surgical critical care.The surgeon will provide clinical care of trauma patients and those with critical surgical conditions, and will support the Trauma Program as needed through administrative support, teaching, additional clinical work, community outreach, and other work as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must be Board Certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery with plans to recertify when necessary. The candidate must have completed an accredited Fellowship in Trauma Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, have a certificate or be able to obtain a certificate in Added Qualifications in Surgical Critical Care within two years, and plans to recertify when necessary.
