Currently recruiting an OB/GYN Physician in San Antonio, TX for a large practice with 13 locations in and around the 7th largest city in the nation. The practice is a FQHC with family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatrists, pediatricians, and dentists providers. The position comes with full benefits to include a base salary plus quarterly bonuses, medical insurance paid by the company at 85% for the employee, short and long term disability, plus many others. Medical liability is also provided to the physician at no cost to him or her.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician s panel, on an in-patient and out-patient basis (as per individual employment agreements); prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assess medical conditions.Maintains the electronic medical record for each patient seen in accordance with the Center s established Health Information Management policies and procedures to include providing appropriate documentation.Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis as per Clinic schedule within the Center s scope of practice and the provider s training.Refers clients for appropriate specialty care services, lab and x-ray and any other ancillary services that are appropriate for the patient s management and care.Reviews all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care on a timely basis and makes medical management decisions appropriately.Maintains appropriate productivity standards of specialty as established by the Center; maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow and minimizes schedule changes and absences.Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs.Trains, mentors and supervises students and clinical support staff, as appropriate.Takes call after hours and on weekends on a rotation basis with other providers and responds appropriately and on a timely manner to after hour calls.Follows established departmental and clinic policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvements objectives and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.Participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs as needed i.E. Diabetes collaborative/health fairs etc.; attends and participates in clinic meetings / departmental meetings and other clinic functions as required by the Center.Performs other related duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of TexasAnnual continuing medical education as required by Board specialtyMust be registered and have current DEA, DPS and other such certificates to legally operate as a physician in the State of TexasHospital privileges at designated area hospitals if required for specialtyBilingual in English and Spanish desired.Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change
