Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery

A well-accredited medical facility in the northeast region of Colorado has a wonderful opportunity for a Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery to join their team. This facility is a 150+ bed acute care facility with 500+ physicians on staff. This is a great opportunity for a Nurse Manager with strong work ethic, credibly values, and compassion towards the community. This facility provides an extensive amount of medical services, while providing quality patient care to the community.

The women's and children's center is a fast paced, family oriented department that ensures that every mother and their baby are in a comfortable, trustworthy setting. There are around 2,000 births annually within this unit and the Nurses are expected to treat every patient with the same respect, care, and urgency. The Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery will report directly up to the Director of Nursing for this department, while having 25+ FTES reporting up to them. The Manager will assume responsibilities of the Director when they are not present.

The responsibilities of the Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery may include;

• Supervision of staff
• Monitoring mothers and children to ensure patient care
• Oversee budgeting and management decisions with other departments
• Training staff members in the Labor and Delivery unit
• Give advice, support and encourage mothers throughout their stay

It is important to note the qualifications for this opportunity being a certified RN with 5+ years of experience. Having previous nurse management experience is a plus, but not mandatory for consideration with this facility.
