A typical day for a Certified Nurse Assistant includes:
Performing homemaker, personal care, and respite duties, as listed, on the client care plan that include, but are not limited to: Bathing, dressing and grooming Eating Elimination Transferring and ambulating Providing clear communication to the staffing supervisor and nurses regarding client conditions and issues. Supporting a positive home environment and providing clients with essential care to prevent nursing home placement. Documenting findings accurately, in a timely manner and on appropriate forms.

In order to be eligible for this role, you should have:
A high school diploma or GED Certified Nurse Assistant certification in the state of employment At least one year of experience in the health care industry Access to reliable transportation A valid driver's license Current and valid vehicle insurance Recognition of the needs of others, and the ability to build relationships with people from different backgrounds Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to spend evenings and weekends caring for your clients with dignity, patience, and compassion Dedication to professional development, including organizational and state-required training
