*Essential Job Duties:*This is a temporary/part-time position providing patient care in Primary Care. The primary purpose of the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is to deliver comprehensive, individualized health care to NC State students, which includes diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, performing minor outpatient procedures, providing patient education and counseling, and offering health education and disease prevention advice. The person filling this role MUST be able to perform minor procedures and work independently. This position will work as a member of the medical staff at the location on Main Campus.

*Work Schedule:*Schedule varies based on need, but likely 2-3 days per week, excluding university holidays and closings. Hours worked per week not guaranteed.

*Minimum Experience/Education:*Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, completion of a Nurse Practitioner Program approved by the North Carolina Joint Subcommittee of the Board of Nursing and Board of Medical Examiners, and "approved to Practice Medical Acts" by the Joint Subcommittee;
OR, has a North Carolina Physician Assistant License, current or required Continued Medical Education for maintaining license and approval to practice by North Carolina Medical Board.
*Department Required Skills:*Experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant working in ambulatory care, such as primary care, acute care, college health or urgent care. Demonstrated communication and documentation skills. Ability to work with a diverse college-aged population.
*Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education:*Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant working in ambulatory care, such as primary care, acute care, college health or urgent care. Demonstrated communication and documentation skills. Prefer at least 2 year of experience in Primary Care and 2 year of experience utilizing electronic health record.
*Required License or Certification:*Obtain required CE for maintaining license and approval to practice by Medical Board.
*Valid NC Driver's License required?:*No

*Anticipated Hiring Range:*$48-$55 per hour
