Overview:

Outpatient Oncology Clinic

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

In partnership with CHI St. Luke's Health brings together academic and research based cancer care under one umbrella allowing fast-tracking efforts to prevent, diagnose and more effectively treat cancer in adults, children, and the underserved.

Set apart from other centers by its Comprehensive Cancer Center designation by the National Cancer Institute (NCI), the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center (DLDCCC) provides exceptional care to patients from all over the world. As one of only three NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in Texas, the DLDCCC is one of the best in the country and is able to contribute vital advances to cancer research through national funding. Specialized health care providers at the DLDCCC are dedicated to understanding, preventing, and treating this disease.

***Located at the CHI St. Luke's McNair Campus, 7200 Cambrige, Houston TX, this new facility offers free employee parking and easy access in and out of the Texas Medical Center.


Responsibilities


Working with cancer patients in an outpatient clinical setting can certainly offer a variety of rewarding challenges to nurses who choose to work in this specialized area. Our healthcare teams wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend.

Daily Activities:
  • Patient advocacy and resource management
  • Partner with providers in the continuum of care
  • Management of daily clinic operations
  • Delegate duties to support team
  • Continual patient triage and assessment

Ideal avaiability will be 8A - 5P M/W/F or T/Th

Qualifications


Education and Licensure Required:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) within 2 years from date of hire. Current employees grandfathered before July 2020.
