Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN) ~ Oklahoma Heart Institute

Oklahoma Heart Institute is currently looking for a member to join our team! The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Registered Nurse (RN) will report directly to the Nursing Supervisor and will be responsible for assessing, planning, evaluating, implementing, and documenting clinical care in accordance with OHI standards to deliver efficient, effective and quality patient care.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicates with patients regarding physician/provider instructions, diagnostic procedures and results, medication changes and disease processes.
*
Identifies and assesses patient problems and returns calls within 48 hours for triage messages.
*
Writes orders for diagnostics and procedures.
*
Reviews and understands laboratory testing basic ECG knowledge and addresses abnormal values before the patient has a diagnostic test or procedure requiring pre-screening laboratory testing.
*
Manages patients utilizing the anti-coagulation protocol guidelines and documents utilization appropriately in EPIC.
QUALIFICATIONS

* Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors Degree preferred
* Current BLS and ACLS
* Previous cardiology nursing experience preferred
SKILLS
Excellent written/verbal/telephone communication skills are essential, along with basic computer knowledge.
