JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Director will be responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, and directing the clinical care within Porter Medical Group outpatient practices, which include both primary and specialty clinics.This role requires someone who is self-motivated, innovative, and has good decision-making skills. Ability to establish effective relationships, organize and delegate authority, and interpret and enforce policies and procedures, remove obstacles to change and be results driven. This role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and supervises the Lead Registered Nurses at each practice. Strong collaboration with the managers of the outpatient practices will be needed.

In this role, the Clinical Director will have the opportunity to:

advance the redesign of primary care at Porter Medical Center to a patient-centered care model,

consider opportunities for nurse hybrid work arrangements and integrate the newly established role of Virtual RN into the patient care model for ambulatory care, and

support the introduction of a simulation lab and simulation education into the clinical training practices for Porter Medical Group.

EDUCATION:

Must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Vermont RN license or Compact RN License.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of one year of ambulatory care experience. A minimum of one year of management experience is required. Direct experience with an electronic medical record preferred.
