Job Type: Full-time & Part-time at 32-40hr/wk; including weekends, on-site

Required education: GED, Associate's or Bachelor's level Degree

Required experience: 1-year experience as CNA

Required license or certification: WA State CNA or NAR Certification

THIRA Health seeks a skilled and flexible Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant Registered (NAR) with excellent communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills. The ideal candidate must be a healthcare worker with crisis management experience in a fast-paced environment, be able to effectively work with acute adolescent and adult female behavioral health patients, and be able to accurately use electronic medical programs to chart and track patients. The CNA/NAR is an integral part of the multidisciplinary THIRA Health treatment team and reports to the Chief Medical Officer. The CNA/NAR is responsible for attending to patient medical needs and assisting in the maintenance of a safe therapeutic environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Assist THIRA nurse to create, maintain, and track patient health history and medical documentation
  • Perform skin check on patients with a history of Non-Suicidal Self Injury (NSSI) and inform the team of any observed evidence of recent NSSI
  • Assist patients with self-administered medication while on-site at program
  • Administer lab orders and call in prescription refills on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer
  • Observe and report changes in patient's behaviors, physical symptoms, and mental health status to the clinical team, including licensed nurse and Chief Medical Officer
  • Conduct vital sign exams on a weekly basis and document quickly and accurately in electronic health record
  • Support and assist psychotherapists, dietitians, art therapist, and milieu support therapist in creating and maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu environment
  • Assist with medical supply ordering and track usage of these supplies
  • Perform job duties while complying with all HIPAA, institutional and health department regulations
  • Support Mental Health/Diet Technicians responsibilities as needed
