Job Description
The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work alongside an integrated team to support adults in a substance use and co-occurring mental health treatment (Detox/RTC) center. The provider will be responsible for patient care, performing daily rounds and completing history and physicals on all new admissions at the 24-bed facility. They are responsible for medication management and helps develops treatment goals alongside the multi-disciplinary team. Position works closely with our Medical Director.

Reports to: Regional Medical Director

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Compensation: $65-75 Per Hour (based on candidate experience)

Training & Experience:
  • NP or PA license in Virginia REQUIRED
  • Active DEA License
  • Previous experience with substance abuse treatment is required; preferred experience with a Detox / RTC treatment facility
  • Ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
  • Must feel comfortable working independently
  • Must be capable of managing both medical and psychiatric concerns

  • Contribute to a high-performing culture, focused on partnering with clients as we inspire and empower change
  • Identifies/provides education to patient/families about current and potential health problems, the treatment plan, self-care, and prevention to achieve independence and maximum wellness
  • Provide medication management services for clients as needed. 
  • Adhere to all aspects of the clinical program's policies and procedures to ensure quality performance and assist the Program Director in any quality improvements that may be necessary
  • Contribute to client utilization reviews and medical necessity discussions with insurance payers as needed 
  • Partner with clinical team to provide in-services and educational information to family members to support an understanding of dual diagnosis/addictions and treatment strategies
  • To consistently exercise good judgment and adequate emotional stability in evaluating situations and making decisions despite the pressures of deadlines or the occurrence of unexpected stressful events
