Job Description
A-Line Staffing is now hiring an LVN/LPN in Austin. The LVN/LPN would be working for a company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Compensation
  • The pay for this position is $26-$30 per hour
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Highlights
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is 6:00am-2:30pm or 2:00pm-10:30pm)

Responsibilities
  • Performs advanced vocational nursing work.
  • Provides for the care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals residing at the facility who have complex medical, mental health and/or behavioral health issues.
  • Performs basic and advanced routine and non-routine nursing tasks to promote the health of the individuals within the assigned areas and assigned shift.
  • Collects specimens for lab work and performs health screenings.
  • Instructs direct support professionals and other staff on how to provide service and care that support the individual's medical needs.
  • Performs technical nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations.
  • Keeps informed of and follows all agency, facility, and unit/home policies and procedures.
  • Provides direction and assists with on-the-job training to others such as newly hired LVNs and direct care staff.
  • Provides on-the-job nursing instruction and training for new LVNs, within their scope of practice, as requested by RN Supervisor.
  • Monitors, oversees the work of, and assigns work to, LVNs as needed.
  • Evaluates nursing intervention outcomes and provides input to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Assists RNs with implementation of protocols, procedures and programs to improve overall health and safety of staff and individuals.
  • Works under the limited supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Requirements
  • Must be licensed LVN and able to practice in Texas
  • Preferably 1+ years as a direct care nurse
  • Charge nurse or supervisory experience is preferred
  • Experience needs to be hospital acute care, LTC , community clinics, public health, etc. (not Home Health or School Nurse)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
