Job DescriptionELLISON 16 - Inpatient Solid Tumor

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), located in Boston, MA currently has an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our cutting-edge Inpatient Oncology team, caring for patients with Solid Tumors.

Here, an emphasis is placed on teamwork and sustainable work-life balance. You will benefit from a team of APPs collaborating each day, and a commitment to minimizing burnout with full-time APPs working 3 days per week, self-scheduling managed by the team, strictly voluntary overtime, and equitable sharing of off-shifts. The solid tumor floor is unique as it also cares for patients with severe immunotherapy complications.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of patients on a 36-bed unit in collaboration with renowned RNs and oncologists. Responsibilities include participating in daily inter-disciplinary rounds, collaboratively develop and implement care plans, coordinating tests and consultations, communicating with referring clinicians and consults, performing patient education, and preparing patients for discharge.

Qualifications
Qualified Candidates will have:
  • Prior experience in an acute care/inpatient environment (either as RN or APP), with medicine, ICU or oncology experience highly desirable.
  • Master's degree in nursing, national certification in advanced practice nursing OR master's degree in physician associate studies, with certification by NCCPA
