An accredited acute care hospital located in central Connecticut is currently searching for an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to join their award-winning healthcare team.
This fully accredited acute care facility is home to over 300-beds and is known to offer world-class medical and surgical specialties. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will join a mid-sized community hospital that provides care to more than 15,000 inpatient and nearly 200,000 outpatient visits annually. This medical center offers a wide variety of specialized medical and surgical services including behavioral health, cardiology, emergency and critical care, oncology, perioperative, birthing services, and more.
The Operating Room Nurse Manager will join a perioperative department that works with Board Certified surgeons that are highly trained in their respective fields. This innovative service line utilizes the most advanced surgical technologies such as minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic assisted surgeries to ensure less patient discomfort and quicker healing. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will oversee a variety of operations including cardiovascular and thoracic, colorectal, ENT, gynecological, breast surgery, oncology, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics and reconstructive, and urological services.
The Operating Room Nurse Manager will be responsible for the strategic and clinical direction of nursing care and resources within the department. The Nurse Manager will work under the Nurse Director of Perioperative Services to ensure support and success of the Operating Room staff. The Operating Room Nurse Manager will be responsible for the personnel recruitment and retention, fiscal budget, and clinical operations within the department. The Operating Room Nurse Manager must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
