Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed general acute care facility, is currently looking for a Registered Nurse professional to join our team.
Position Description:
The Hospice Care RN utilizes the nursing process to coordinate the interdisciplinary approach to patient care for her/his team of patients. He/she promotes continuity through communication of the patient's plan, condition and progress toward outcomes. The Hospice Care RN participates in and demonstrates effective education and support for patients and their families to meet their physiological, psychological, and spiritual needs. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
2 year/Associate degree required
4 year/Bachelor degree preferred
Experience:
Previous healthcare experience required
1-3 years Hospice and/or home based health care delivery experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills:
Analytical, Organizational, Critical Thinking and Verbal Communication skills required
Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize preferred
License, Registration and/or Certification:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in accordance with the Kansas Nurse Licensure Compact - Required upon hire
Healthcare Provider CPR - (American Heart Association or American Red Cross ONLY) - Required within 7 days from date of hire
Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred
