Academic Cardiology Opportunity with Heart Failure Subspecialty in Charleston, WV

The Charleston Area Medical Center Institute for Academic Medicine is seeking to employ one or more BE/BC Non-Invasive cardiologists with subspecialty training in heart failure. This opportunity involves joining an elite cardiology team and participating in the formative years of building a nationally recognized heart failure program. The center has state-of-the-art advanced imaging and intensive care unit facilities that are supported by 8 catherization labs, 3 dedicated vascular interventional labs and 3 EP labs. During the formative years of the program the position may involve developing an outreach program which may involve some travel to satellite offices.  The ideal candidate would have leadership skills, strong core values, interest in research and passion for teaching.

Requirements:

  • MD from an accredited university medical school.
  • Board eligible or board certified in cardiology and fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure
  • Ability to obtain a West Virginia state medical license and DEA
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital privileges at Charleston Area Medical Center
