Chief, Division of Thoracic Surgery - Staten Island University Hospital

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Service line at the Northwell Health System is seeking an experienced (minimum of three years attending-level experience) Thoracic Surgeon to join our faculty at the Division of Thoracic Surgery in Staten Island, New York. The ideal candidate is thoracic-track fellowship trained, ABS and ABTS Board Certified, and is skilled in minimally invasive VATS and robotic surgery for both malignant and benign thoracic diseases. The candidate will join a well-established, busy and experienced team of thoracic surgeons at Northwell, with an annual case volume of well over 3,500. The candidate will participate in the training and mentoring of residents and fellows in the general surgery residency program. The candidate will have access to ample opportunities for translational research in collaboration with Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, Monter Cancer Center and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The candidate is expected to take an active role in program development across several network hospitals and will have surgical leadership responsibilities (i.e. director or chief) in one or several of those hospitals.
