SUMMARY:  Boston IVF LLC. seeks applications for the position of Director of Clinical Research.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be a physician scientist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.  The position is comprised of 70% research and 30% clinical activities in furtherance of the research.   The applicant will have completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, be fellowship trained in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, be board certified /board eligible, and have demonstrated excellence both in research and clinical care. Boston IVF represents the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility division at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and at Harvard Medical School.

Clinical duties will be carried out at a satellite clinic in Upstate New York (approximately 6 consecutive days per month). The applicant must have a strong interest and background in clinical/translational research in the area of male and female infertility. Experience in basic science is favorable, in particular in the biology of mammalian sperm.

In addition, the applicant must have a record of academic excellence as demonstrated by a strong publication record and, ideally, a history of funding.  The applicant must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to allow the pursuit of independent research, publications and teaching while collaborating with colleagues at Boston IVF and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.  Faculty rank and line at Harvard Medical School will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Salary will be at a fair market rate and commensurate with academic rank experience and qualifications.
