The Department of Radiation Oncology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State Cancer Institute is seeking candidates for an Assistant Professor or higher position on either the tenure or non-tenure track. The level of faculty appointment and salary will be commensurate with experience and training. The department seeks a Certified/Board Eligible faculty radiation oncologist with prior experience in Head and Neck cancer management to practice at our primary site located on the campus of the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. Prior experience in cooperative group clinical trials including NRG is highly desired.
Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center accrues more than 3,130 analytic cancer cases per year and Radiation Oncology treats approximately 1,340 patients annually. Current equipment includes Varian True Beams, Varian IX, Elekta Gamma Knife ICON, Siemens Dual Energy SPECT CT simulator, Eclipse treatment planning, ARIA, and Cerner EMR. Future Equipment includes ViewRay MRIdian MR Linac.
We participate in specialized treatments including LDR and HDR – Brachytherapy, SBRT, TBI, and pediatric therapy.
