Preparing for a Career Break
John Muir Health. Named the first Foregut Mentor Site in California and one of only five in the U.S.
Our legacy in robotic-assisted surgery continues.
Since 2002, John Muir Health physicians have performed over 12,000 robotic-assisted surgeries. This minimally invasive approach has recently been expanded to lung procedures such as robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, and surgeries involving the foregut. The designation as a Foregut Mentor Site is based on a demonstrated commitment to positive patient outcomes and substantial experience in foregut procedures. Under the direction of Dr. Wilson Tsai, Medical Director of the Thoracic Surgery Program who has performed over 600 robotic-assisted surgeries, we will be sharing our experiences with surgeons in other parts of the country so they can provide the same potential benefits to patients in their communities.
