 Radiation Oncologist – Faculty Position                

Summary of Opportunity

The Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM), Department of Radiation Oncology announces the search for a BE/BC radiation oncologist with a strong interest in patient care, and institutional and national investigational studies to join this growing Department. The successful candidate will be one who has a proven record of academic excellence, demonstrates dedication to patient care and experience in medical student education.  The ideal candidate will have experience with multiple forms of external beam irradiation (including IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, IGRT and SRS), and HDR.  Gamma Knife radiosurgery and hyperthermia experience preferred but not required.  The program works together with the Temple Fox Chase Cancer Center and does joint chart rounds on all patients throughout the system weekly.  Participation in multiple tumor boards, cancer center initiatives, and medical school activities is expected. 

The Department of Radiation Oncology is part of a multi-disciplinary first rate cancer program that includes a nutritionist, patient interviewers, nurses, medical physicist, radiation therapists, dosimetrists and social workers. The Department’s mission is to provide the very best level of care to every patient in a comfortable and professional environment.  It is certified by the American College of Radiology and participates in multiple clinical trials.
