Preparing for a Career Break

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is recruiting a full-time Gynecologic Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The division is comprised of eight gynecologic oncologists, two scientists (studying endometrial cancer genomics and ovarian cancer signaling), and six gynecologic oncology fellows (two/year - 3-year fellowship). We have 20 specialty-specific research staff that supports one of the most robust clinical research programs in the country, actively involved in investigator-initiated, pharma, and NCI-based clinical trials including gynecology oncology led phase I program. We have close ties with radiation, and medical oncologists, genetic counselors, and specialist pharmacists embedded in our clinic practices in addition to nutrition, audiology, and counseling services. We also have eight outpatient and three inpatient advanced practitioners, performing both independent practices, and providing support to the practice. We have abundant discharge planning, care coordination, and social work staff, facilitating patient flow and quality care.

Qualifications:                                                                   

  • Commitment to and passion for quality patient care, research (clinical, translational, basic), and/or education
  • Successful completion of an accredited gynecologic oncology fellowship
  • Board Eligible/Certified with the American Board of OB/GYN and Gynecologic Oncology as a subspecialty
  • Qualify for an academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience
