The Advanced Fellowship in Leukemia at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is a 1-2 year fellowship program designed to provide comprehensive clinical and investigative training in leukemia for individuals who will ultimately pursue a career in clinically applied research in an academic setting. The Advanced Leukemia Fellowship training focuses on the clinical management and study of acute leukemia (myeloid and lymphoid), the myelodysplastic syndromes, and the
myeloproliferative neoplasms including chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The primary aim of the program is to prepare qualified individuals for careers that have a significant impact on the care and outcomes of patients undergoing treatment for leukemia and on clinical research advances.

At the time of entry into the program, fellows must have already completed training in Medical Oncology (minimum 2 years), Hematology (minimum 2 years) or Hematology/Oncology (minimum 3 years) and be eligible for a limited or full medical license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest/personal statement, CV, USMLE scores, and three letters of reference (one of which must be from current fellowship director) to the attention of Dr. Marlise Luskin, Division of Hematologic Malignancies, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Ave, Boston MA 02215, Attn: Ms. Katie Kupferberg, Administrative Director.
