PEDIATRIC SURGEON
The Department of Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is actively seeking a board eligible/certified Pediatric Surgeon at Assistant level to the Pediatric Surgery Division at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
The successful applicant will join a division with 5 surgeons in a well-established, exciting team, and must have a strong interest in clinical practice and a demonstrated interest in research, education, and training. The ideal applicant should have a desire to build a robust and academically-focused clinical practice while being integrally involved in the education and training of general surgery residents and medical students. The candidate will continue to develop a high-acuity practice encompassing the full breadth of pediatric general surgery based primarily at the rapidly expanding the practice at Arkansas Children’s Northwest Hospital, the region’s only children’s hospital.
Requirements
MD specializing in Pediatric Surgery is required. Must be board certified or board eligible in General Surgery. Fellowship trained in Pediatric Surgery is required.
Candidate is required to have or be eligible for an Arkansas Medical License. Board Certification in Surgery through the American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery or equivalent. Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.
