Rochester Regional Health, a large integrated health system in Rochester, NY is inviting applicants for the role of System Chair of Psychiatry. The Chair is responsible for the strategic visualization and leadership of all operations for the Behavioral Health Service Line.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership and a proven track record of excellence in patient care, teaching and development. Top candidates should be strong mentors to new and existing staff members and have the ability to champion excellence in achieving clinical quality outcomes in a department reaching over 315,000 outpatient visits per year.

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Chair will serve as the administrative leader providing direction in operational financial performance, recruitment, strategic planning, retention and oversight.

With network of 70 providers, 27 locations, and nine hospitals the Department of Psychiatry at Rochester Regional Health has a strong reputation of achievement in patient care. As the largest and most comprehensive behavioral health provider in upstate New York, we utilize a collaborative model of care across the system that includes crisis, inpatient, outpatient and community based services to reach the needs of over 16,000 patients.

QUALIFICATIONS: Rochester Regional Health seeks an accomplished clinician with an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school, current board certification in Psychiatry, eligible for licensure in New York State. Candidates must have experience in developing and leading clinical programs, a record of effective administrative experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated commitment to promoting a collaborative integrated environment.
