Job Summary:
Assess patients during clinic visits, facilitate patient flow during clinic
Manage plan of care for patients including treatment schedules for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biotherapy
Educate patient/family regarding disease, progression, treatment, side effects and symptom management
Connect patients with resources such as social work, nutrition, supportive care medicine, spiritual care
Maintain communication and coordinate interdisciplinary care amongst all providers to facilitate the best care and support for each individual patient situation
Triage phone calls from patients to assess immediate needs and provide solutions, contact other clinicians to facilitate solutions, and/or provide advice to the patient for appropriate measures
Assist Physician during patient exams and minor office procedures
Educational Requirements: BSN preferred
Licenses: OCN Preferred, ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Card, California RN License, BLS
Experience: Two years oncology nursing experience preferred.
Physical Demands: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting - 50 lbs., Carrying - 50 lbs., Pushing - 75 lbs., Pulling - 75 lbs., Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Handling, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions, Kneeling
