USPI Flatirons Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated Clinical Director to join our team. Flatirons Surgery Center is a fast paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.

NO Call, weekends or holidays!!

Job Summary:
  • This is a full time senior management position, Monday through Friday
  • No nights, weekends, or on-call
  • The clinical director is responsible for overseeing and developing the ambulatory surgical center's clinical departments through key tasks such as hiring, evaluating, mentoring, scheduling, and supervision
  • The Clinical director is a professional with proven but flexible strategies to allow for continued growth for the business.
  • A clinical director should be able to solve problems quickly and effectively using critical thinking skills with emotional intelligence to deal with staff at all levels within the organization.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for all areas of the PACU, OR, Central Sterile, and Materials Management

2. Ensures that Standard Universal Precautions, the National Patient Safety Goals, and principles of aseptic and sterile technique are used appropriately.

3. Evaluates nursing activities to ensure proper patient care and staff relations

4. Coordinates patient care with business office, pre-op, ORs, and post-op.

5. Manages efficiency of patient care in the PACU and OR.

6. Coordinates with physicians, medical staff, and administrator to ensure that effective communication is consistently being maintained.

7. Coordinates with Materials Manager for equipment, special equipment, and supplies are available for upcoming surgical cases; and resolves any issues/problems.

8. Coordinates onboarding and orientation of new employees.

9. Investigates and resolves complaints. Refers problems to the Administrator.

10. Oversees all staff competencies, licensing, training, and medical requirements

11. Oversees environmental hazard and infection control and participates with emergency preparedness processes and drills.

12. Implements safe practices and provides knowledgeable guidance and evaluation of the environment of care management, including life safety (fire prevention), security, hazardous materials, waste management, emergency preparedness, infection control, the safe use of medical equipment, and utilities.

13. Ensures meaningful differences are implemented as outlined in the EDGE (Every Day Giving Excellence) Program.

14. Participates in review and revision of the policies and procedures at the Surgery Center.

15. Directs the hiring, selection, performance reviews, and training of staff.

16. Communicate with surgeons and anesthesia to address issues quickly and appropriately.

17. Orders or directs ordering of supplies including drugs, solutions, and equipment, and maintains records on narcotics.

18. Oversees all equipment training, maintenance, and repair

19. Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $47.60 to $59.62

Required Skills:

Qualifications:
  • Current RN license in Colorado.
  • Valid CPR/ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum of two years OR Circulator experience.


  • Prefer a minimum one year OR Charge nurse experience.
  • Prefer a minimum one year PACU RN experience.
