JOB SUMMARY - Staff Psychiatrist BC/BE (Urgently Hiring)

Caya Health is seeking a staff psychiatrist for providing expert medical care to patients with a range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Responsibilities include conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and evaluating treatment results. Duties include referring patients to medical specialists or counseling services and prescribing patients' medications based on their condition. Responsibilities also include maintaining clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the ages, developmental stages, and special needs/health conditions of the population served. The Psychiatrist Practitioner will assist in overseeing the appropriateness and quality of psychiatric care delivered to patients seen in Caya Health offices and through telehealth services.

POSITION DUTIES:

• Provides Evaluation and Management services for Psychiatric diagnosis for patients in Caya Health offices and telehealth, as indicated.
• Reviews potential Caya Health provider quality issues and determines their appropriateness for review by the Peer Review Committee.
• Assists in developing and revising policies for Caya Health providers to support utilization management activities, including criteria and guidelines for appropriate use of services, clinical practice guidelines and treatment guidelines.
• Coordinates with the Program Director and other psychiatric providers to provide support and appropriate direction to facility staff on issues pertaining to psychiatric care.
• Available to attend Psychiatric Staff Meetings.
• Monitor TMS procedures and outcomes.
• Assist with MAT/Suboxone program as needed.
• Performs other duties relevant to psychiatrist practitioner role.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Must be board certified in Psychiatry and licensed in Florida.

• Medical degree from an accredited School of Medicine.
• Health board registration mandatory.
• Eemployed position with a full benefits package
• Patient population - Child/Adults/Geriatrics.
• Supportive team of NPs, PAs & RNs.
• Must have an active current DEA certificate.
• Suboxone and TMS certification preferred but not mandatory.
• Must have at least 1 year of clinical/psychiatric practice experience.
