Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Cardiology

Practice Description:
The Pediatric Heart Center at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This role will primarily function as a critical member of the health care team collaboratively with a group of pediatric cardiologists, pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, fellows, and residents on primarily an inpatient basis, with occasional outpatient responsibilities. The Pediatric Heart Center at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital provides expert providers who are leading the way in delivering compassionate, comprehensive care for pediatric cardiac patients. Our Heart Center utilizes a comprehensive team of cardiologists, surgeons, advanced practice providers, and care coordinators -all within a true children's hospital setting, on a leading academic campus. Practice Details:First assistant to the Pediatric Interventional and Electrophysiology Cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology studies.Other responsibilities include admits and discharges, rounding, and pre-procedure history and physicals on patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.Potential clinic coverage to include pre and post-procedures.FTE: 1.0 Income Details:Initial market competitive salaryComprehensive benefits package: annual CME allowance, malpractice insurance with tail coverage, retirement contributions & more.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and APRN training programBC/BE through PNCB, AANP, or ANCCLicensed or eligible for APRN licensure by Minnesota Board of Nursing Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of MinnesotaMeet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges Preferred Qualifications:Candidates with pediatric, inpatient or cardiology experience strongly preferred.
