Assistant Director of Nursing RN

Salary: Starting at $70,000 annually and commensurate with education and experience.

We provide psychiatric care to geriatric patients who require inpatient hospitalization due to mental disorders like cognitive illnesses.
As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be instrumental in leading our clinical team to fulfill the mission, vision, and goals of the Center for Behavioral Health. The Assistant Director of Nursing is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in the continuous safe operation of the hospital, including all aspects of patient care, budgeting, staffing and quality assurance.
What will our Assistant Director of Nursing be doing?
Utilize your nursing skills and knowledge to complete assessments to evaluate and determine patient needs in a holistic manner.
Coach, develop, and mentor RNs as needed to maintain a positive, cohesive team environment that focuses on and delivers person focused, quality care to all patients.
Assist the DON with scheduling of RN's to ensure appropriate coverage based on patient need to maintain a safe environment for all.
Observe patients reactions to medications and treatments. Record and report reactions and other significant incidents to the DON, Administrator, and physician/medical staff. Ensures appropriate documentation in patient charts.
Follow relevant, established standards and guidelines including, but not limited to, nurse education and infection control.
Reports to the Director of Nursing, Administrator and Medical Director for providing a comprehensive, high quality program of excellence, ensuring the patient achieves the best possible outcome.

Sign on bonus for $5,000 for 1 (one) year commitment and $7,000 for 2 (two) year commitment as full time ADON.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years' experience in an acute care facility, psychiatric experience is preferred. Management experience is required.
Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: Missouri RN license.
