Duke Cancer Center - Oncology Treatment Center seeks to hire a Certfied Nursing Assistant who will embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together!

Summary: The Duke Cancer Center is a state-of-the-art patient care facility that brings together almost all outpatient services in one convenient location. Our programs and services include a patient resource center, retail pharmacy, self-image boutique, quiet room, café and outdoor garden. Our goal is to provide you with high-quality cancer care, and outstanding patient experience.

Daily Working Hours: 4-10 hour shifts between the days of Monday-Friday - working hours will be 7:30AM-6:00PM

General description of position required but not limited to:

Perform a variety of nonprofessional nursing duties in the direct care of patients under the direct supervision of a RN/LPN.
Perform tasks within the scope of a nursing care assistant I and II as defined by the NC Board of Nursing.
Stocking
Vital Signs
Assisting the RNS's in infusion rooms
IV fluid assistance activities
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Qualifications and education needed for this position:

Completion of Level I Nurse Aide education program approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or successful completion of the NC - approved Nurse Aide I competency test and completion of Level II Nurse Aide education programs approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
High school diploma or equivalent
Listed as NA I with the Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, fraud, neglect, or misappropriation of property. Listed as NA II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
BCLS certification must be maintained/completed by the end of new hire orientation, which typically takes place during the first week of employment.
