Position Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is searching for an assistant or associate professor to serve as the Director of the Ryan Center. The appointee will have oversight of the Ryan Center, which provides reliable, confidential, and comprehensive health care for women seeking abortions, contraceptive services, and miscarriage care. They will also be responsible for clinical care and management of patients both on campus and at off-site locations. Other duties will include promoting equitable clinical care, services, and research in family planning, teaching and supervision of section trainees and students, and engaging in scholarly activity. The appointee will have training and experience in family planning and complex contraception. Compensation, including a generous package of fringe benefits, is dependent upon qualifications.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent,
2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be board certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
