The School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences, Division of Orthodontics at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor.

 

Oregon Health & Science University is a nationally prominent research university and Oregon’s only public academic health center. It serves patients throughout the region with a Level 1 trauma center and nationally recognized Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. OHSU operates dental, medical, nursing and pharmacy schools that rank high both in research funding and in meeting the university’s social mission.

 

The Orthodontic Faculty is responsible for participating in didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical teaching at pre- and post-doctoral levels; research; and professionally related service. Other activities include academic program advising, specific and general scholarly projects, departmental and institutional administrative activities, student support service activities, course and curriculum planning, and patient care.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Dental degree (DDS/DMD) and certification in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from a CODA accredited school MS or PhD degree
  • Eligible for unrestrictive licensure in Oregon
  • BLS/ACLS from the American Heart Association

Preferred Candidate should have a demonstrable record of excellence in leadership, teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management.
