Southwest Medical Associates (SMA), an Optum company, is Nevada's largest multi-specialty practice, with over 350 physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Our facilities include 22 medical offices, with 6 urgent cares clinics, 7 Convenient Care Clinics, two lifestyle centers catering to seniors and two outpatient surgery centers. As a part of the OptumCare network, Southwest Medical is seeking for a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellow (going into or currently in final year of training) to join our team!

Position Highlights:

This is a temporary role intended for physician residents or fellows, interested in pursuing a full-time role with our group following completion of training
OptumCare will educate and prepare physicians for next generation population health models in a top-notch patient and provider setting
Physician Resident or Fellow will receive an adjusted annual salary and sign-on bonus to be paid during final year of training

Required Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O.
Transitioning into final year of residency/fellowship or early into final year
Local resident or fellow preferred; or ability to obtain state license prior to employment
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Nevada residents is $40,000 to $50,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
