Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an Interim Nurse Manager, Registered Nurse (RN) for our PACU department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Interim PACU Nurse Manager, you will:

Directly report to the Director and is responsible for operationalizing the strategic plan for their department. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring the assessment, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager will facilitate, mentor and evaluate others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. In addition, the Nurse Manager will assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources are available. The Nurse Manager will demonstrate professionalism at all times and will uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance in accordance with organizational goals and nursing mission and vision.

Qualifications include:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required, Masters preferred.

Valid Maryland RN license required

Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certification required

3 years of current PACU experience required, Supervisory experience preferred. Certification in Leadership with 1 year of eligibility. Participation on Professional Organizations.

Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
