The NEURO ICU at Duke University Hospital is comprised of a 24 -bed state of art attached to the Level 1 Trauma Center. Our Duke Neuro ICU achieved Stroke Gold Plus and Honor Roll Elite Plus recognition from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for 'Get with the Guidelines - Stroke' and 'Target: Stroke'. This is an award for having the most up-to-date evidenced based treatment guidelines to improve patient care and outcomes in the community we serve. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time.
