Nursing Assistant Director

As Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of nursing services, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the facility.
Directly manage all monthly risk management, quality improvement (CQI), and infection control meetings, documentation, and in-services for facility
Supervise and manage assigned staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and ongoing support; resolve employee relations issues as needed; make decisions related to employment
Assist the Director of Nursing in determining the staffing needs of the nursing services department
Responsible for rotating all on-call schedules and to fill in as floor nurse as needed
Make daily rounds of the nursing service departments to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards; report any findings to Director of Nursing
Assist the Director of Nursing in the development of in-service training programs for the nursing staff
Ensure that training programs meet the continuing education requirements which allow licensed personnel to keep their licenses in an active status
Manage all Minimum Data Set (MDS) reports in compliance with state regulations, as needed
Serve as a positive role model for all staff, service providers, and the community at large

Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing with current LPN/LVN licensure
Three years of experience working with people with developmental disabilities
A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent proficiency in the areas of responsibility may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements
Additional certificates/licenses as required by the state
Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport with others
Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented
