Job Summary and Qualifications

At Frankfort Regional Medical Center, we are looking for a compassionate and reliable registered nurse on our Progressive Care unit to provide care and treatment to ill, injured, and recovering adults in our patient centered care model. In this role, you will be required to make clinical assessments of situations and manage treatment autonomously. You will be flexible and participate in the decision-making processes regarding patient flow; assignment changes and adapts to the work plan for changes in unit workload.

On our team, you will participate in intentional rounds and bedside report. Pain, toileting, placement, position, and staff recognition that will be specifically targeted during rounding and patients/families will be included in bedside report. Reports staff that is repeatedly non-compliant to charge nurse.

You will assist with the interview process of new hires.

On our team, you will guide and be a resource for new employees.

You will ensure hourly rounding, specifically targeting pain, toileting, placement, and positioning.

Requirements:

• Must hold a current license from the Kentucky Board of Nursing. (or multi-state compact license with eligibility to practice in Kentucky).
• Associates Degree in nursing, Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification required upon hire.
• ACLS within 6 months post-hire.
• PCCN within 1 year post-hire preferred.
• 1 to 2 years of experience preferred.
