Assistant Director of Nursing Role:
The Assistant Director of Nursing will plan, organize, develop, direct and supervise the overall regional operations.
Provide leadership, collaborative support, and oversight to the Area Nurses on an ongoing basis.
Coordinate with other Directors and Managers across the area when implementing company-wide nursing systems, policies and procedures, and is accountable for ensuring these systems are being enforced accurately by the nurses to meet compliance needs.
Support a cross functional quality team to provide clinical quality management.
Establish and monitor nursing quality indicators and outcomes, collection and analysis of data, and completion of dedicated standards.
Work in conjunction with quality assurance and regulatory compliance as it relates to executive leadership, vision, mission, and values of the organization.
Essential & Supervisory Responsibilities include the following:
Reviews and monitors the Quality Assurance medical record audits. Supervise of all Agency Nurses, ensuring that they are monitoring the health data information of the individuals served.
Track the follow up to major medical health issues and ensure corrections have been made and preventive within the system.
Coordinate with human resources to track the state mandated Medication Certification process, and ensure the organization is meeting targets and guidelines for compliance.
Reviews all possible health related risks and system failures as they relate to internal or external investigations and develop correction plans as needed.
Manage the process for recertification surveys, intermittent surveys & investigations, to ensure all nursing meet standards and legal requirements.
Serve as a key point of contact for various nursing projects while coordinating with executive management to relay updates and advise for new directives as needed.
Develop and maintain all Clinical training modules while tracking staff completion plans.
Considerable high level assessment skills of individual' s health status and to provide appropriate interventions and direction to other staff.
Identify and lead key nursing Initiatives including:
o Tele-Medicine/Tele-Health or other forms of newly implemented technology
o Pharmaceutical Project Management
o Clinical Software Development and Implementation
o Integration of nursing systems with mergers and acquisitions
o Nursing Department Restructure as indicated

Assistant Director of Nursing Background Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a BSN, but equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered
Valid RN license in the state of Georgia
5+ years of nursing experience
2+ years of supervisory/management experience in nursing
Extensive knowledge of acceptable standard nursing procedures
Lead by example
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Experience working with the IDD population is a plus, but not required
Excellent leadership skills and strong motivator
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Strong organizational skills and problem-solving/analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
In this role, you will need to have broad knowledge and perspective and have the ability to anticipate future consequences and trends accurately.
