Responsibilities


Critical Care nursing can be one of the most challenging areas for a RN. Your patients are critically ill or unstable following life threatening diseases. It's your job to provide the highest degree of quality care while working under pressure. You wear many hats daily from patient advocate to family advisor and, in some cases, even friend. We understand that.

What patients require Pulmonary Critical Care services?

Patients who need respiratory care often have a conditions, such as:
Acute or chronic respiratory failure
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)
Chronic bronchitis
Cystic fibrosis
Post intensive care syndrome (PICS)
Pneumonia
COVID-19
A pulmonary critical care nurse promotes pulmonary health and care for the comfort and well-being of patients. You will be responsible for delivering the highest quality of patient care according to the specific orders of each patient's individual physicians. This will involve utilizing your knowledge and skill set to educate patients and their families.

Qualifications


Current RN license that allows you to practice in our state
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Experience as a Registered Nurse preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN) preferred
Additional certification or licensure may be required for specialty areas
