The Virginia Mason Cancer Institute is a multi-disciplinary program which provides a continuum of care for prevention/detection, cancer diagnosis and treatment, and hospice/bereavement. The N. Peter Canlis Unit is a 27-bed inpatient medical/surgical unit that provides patients and families with support along this continuum. The unit serves adult patients being treated with a variety of cancer therapies including stem cell transplant, bio-chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Patient care issues are addressed daily in multi-disciplinary rounds.

The registered nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing services to assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization. Through collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse prepares the patient and family for discharge to home or another setting for continued care.

*Qualifications:*

* Current WA State RN License is required.

* 1 or more years recent acute care Oncology experience preferred.

Preferred: Chemotherapy Certified; OCN. BSN strongly preferred.
