Responsibilities:
Functions under the general supervision and direction of the Nurse Manager to provide planned, skilled nursing care for patients in the operating room in accordance with established policy and philosophy. Assists surgeons in the operation theatre. The operating room nurse hands the doctors all the equipment they require in the surgery. The tools used must be cleaned and sterilized before the operation by the nurse. The nurse double checks before the operation whether all the required equipment is present or not. They also to prepare the patients before the operation. Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills of personnel as directed and needed.The schedule for this position is Monday though Thursday varying days, no nights weekends, starting at 6:00am.HJ1

Qualifications:
Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.Experience: Must have three (3) years of RN experience in a surgical setting.Licensure: Currently licensed in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. BCLS and ACLS certification within 180 days of employment.
