Responsibilities:
RN/ Clinical Nurse- Out Patient Surgical Unit - Flex shifts 5am-1:30pmOur team is searching for a dynamic Registered Nurse to join the interdisciplinary team performing patient care in our Out Patient Surgical Unit. Our team is searching for a dynamic Registered Nurse to join the interdisciplinary team performing patient care on our exciting Surgical Care Unit.The Surgical Care Unit is a 72 bed dynamic fast-paced unit serving patients scheduled for surgery in the main operating room and special radiological procedures. This unit also provides care for patients requiring blood transfusions and IV antibiotics. The OPSU / Central Registration (Nursing) staff are a dedicated group of highly trained nurses and other individuals who prepare the patients and their families pre-operatively for their hospital experience, as well as their discharge and care at home. The unit performs all of the procedure preparations for (A.M.) admits and outpatients (done in the main OR). This unit also is a second stage recovery area.As a Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative service-line environment. The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care. Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patient's care environment. The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process. Also provides leadership, mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination and delegation of care in a safe, secure and clean environment. Care provided displays respect for the patients rights, dignity, values, confidentiality and expressed needs. Adaptable, using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort, relieving pain and alleviating anxiety. Qualifications:
