Physician - Pediatrics - Intensivist - We are expanding services. Come grow with us

Boys Town National Research Hospital (BTNRH) is recruiting for a full-time Board Eligible/Certified Pediatric Intensivist to join our evolving program in Omaha, Nebraska. This position further supports our expansion in being able to care for the more critically ill child. Responsibilities of the new physician will include clinical time in our new 6 bed Advanced Care Unit (ACU) and potentially providing sedation for inpatients and outpatients. The ACU clinical team consists of Critical Care trained APRN's/ PA's/RN's, Respiratory Therapists, Pharmacists, Social Work, Dietician, PT/OT. Pediatric subspecialty support includes Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiology, Neurology/Neurosurgery, and Infectious Disease. A new Neuroscience Center is currently under development at BTNRH.

Requirements include:

• Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited medical school


• Eligible for Medical Licensure in the State of Nebraska


• Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatric Critical Care


• Post-Fellowship experience in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, preferred


• Strong communication skills, "Team player" mentality


• Must qualify for hospital staff privileges at BTNRH and maintain those privileges

Opportunity Details:

• Staffing Model: 2 Pediatric Intensivists (for now and likely to expand further in future)


• Schedule: In-house during the day. Night Call: Home call after hours with prompt availability for emergencies


• Opportunities for research, Performance Improvement (PI) projects and education of staff are available and encouraged
