NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County , located in the heart of Brooklyn, accommodate more than 518,076 outpatient visits, more than 141,328 emergency room visits, and with 627 beds, more than 25,000 inpatient admissions annually. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Medical Center in order to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Kings County is located in the East Flatbush/Prospect-Lefferts section of Brooklyn, close to the 2 and 5 subways. Our patients are diverse, with the majority being afro-Caribbean. Most of our patients are native English speakers. Knowledge of French/Haitian Creole is helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities:
The Department of Radiology is seeking a full time, fellowship trained abdominal imaging radiologist to work at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Clinical skills should include the ability to interpret all primary and tertiary imaging related abdominal imaging, including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy cases. Additionally, ability to interpret diagnostic radiography, computed tomography, and ultrasound ED exams is preferred.

Collaboration with other staff radiologists, surgeons, and gastroenterologists required. After hours call coverage will be required, to be determined by the chief of service.

Academic Job Requirements:
  • Teach and supervise residents
  • Conduct educational lectures and seminars
  • Participate in interdepartmental conferences
  • Participate in scholarly activities as outlined by the Radiology RRC
Qualifications:
  • Graduate from accredited Medical School
  • Completion of accredited residency/ fellowship in Abdominal Imaging
  • Board certified in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Licensed to practice Medicine in New York State.
  • Ability to read other modalities for call coverage (primarily plain films, ultrasound and chest, abdomen, and pelvis CT and MR scans)
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required prior to hire

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years clinical experience
  • Current or prior experience working with residents and/or felllows preferred)
  • Ability to read other modalities for call coverage (primarily plain films, ultrasound and chest, abdomen, and pelvis CT and MR scans)

Annual Based Salary : $495,000
