Optum Financial is seeking a Sr. Director of Product Management, who will report to the Head of Product within the Consumer Payments Group.

Primary Responsibilities:

As Sr. Director, Product Management, Optum Consumer Payments, you will be accountable for defining and driving the strategy and roadmap for end-to-end payment solutions to change the way healthcare is paid for. You will lead product vision and execution for the industry's leading provider of HSA, FSA, HRA and lifestyle accounts, impacting the lives of millions of Americans and shaping the Health Benefit Account industry. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to drive execution by:
  • Working with senior executive stakeholders to understand business goals
  • Leading a team of highly talented and motivated Product Managers and Product Owners
  • Developing and championing a product vision and strategy that is aligned with the business strategy
  • Ensuring the roadmap delivers great business value while continually improving the omni-channel consumer experience
  • Making product decisions based on data, metrics and most importantly, the various consumers involved to create new experiences that delight
  • Defining and influencing product designs and overall user experience
  • Collaborate with talented engineering and technology teams to deliver high velocity features using agile methodologies
  • Executing a product vision that will grow Consumer Payments and significantly differentiate partner divisions throughout UnitedHealth Group
  • Serving as a thought leader for Consumer Payments within the team and the broader enterprise

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experiences
  • 10+ years of experience serving in product leadership roles
  • 10+ years of people leadership experience
  • Proven experience in the FinTech industry, ideally with payment cards, health benefit accounts, or other similar payment experience in the health care payment space
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital organizations using design thinking principles that resulted in amazing consumer experiences
  • Experience leading a team of Product Managers driving innovation
  • Track record of driving strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation in digital platforms, prioritizing business initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future digital applications
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of product and technology professionals to deliver high quality experiences in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • History of navigating large complex organizations and bringing together cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to foster relationships that build a high degree of collaboration across all levels and areas of an organization
  • Proven ability to prioritize in a high pressure, fast paced environment

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
