General Summary:
The Director of Enterprise Merchandising Solutions fulfills a vital role in proving oversight and strategic direction of the Merchandise Services business function to include Merchandise Data Management, Supplier Development, and Merchandise Assistant teams. The role provides oversite to the Data Integrity team to include one manager and eight analysts that ensures execution of processes and procedures in accordance to company goals and objectives to optimize merchandise execution efficiencies inclusive of all Merchandise Data Management. In addition, the role provides strategic directions and guidance to four Managers, one Supervisor and two Trainers who support the training and development of the Merchandise Assistant team building a pipeline of talent for the organization. Directing these work streams requires someone with high proficiency in strategic direction, time management, organization, attention to detail, team member development along with strong verbal and written communication skills. The incumbent must possess strong retail business analysis and process flow skills, with the proven ability to understand, re-engineer, improve and communicate complex company strategies.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain positive relationships, along with high levels of service with Merchandising, Store Operations, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Legal, Risk Management, IT, Global Sourcing, Merchandise suppliers, service providers and other internal customers. Partners to ensure optimal execution cross-functionally.
2. Direct cross-functional teams to develop timelines and tasks necessary to successfully drive projects to completion and within established standards; ability to solve problems, remove roadblocks and successfully implement initiatives; escalates issues as needed for resolution.
3. Executive lead and provide strategic direction on all merchandise data management systems and process to include Location Trait Management, New Store Trait Management, Records Management, Item Management, Limited Distribution Item Management, Supplier Development , Recalls and the general data integrity tied to Merchandise execution.
4. Drive continuous improvement, working closely with IT to facilitate systemic improvements to our business tools, streamlining process and creating efficiencies for business partners
5. Responsible for managing execution to +95% accuracy ensuring data integrity for Dollar Tree and Family Dollar
6. Manage to salary budgets for hourly associates, optimize team assignments and monitor capacity to decrease overtime usage.
7. Lead the creation of business requirements and process change for Merchandise Data Management programs, through partnership with information technology and other relative business partners; ensure the development and testing of all programs is completed.
8. Executive lead managing processes that identify and repair item data exceptions in conjunction with inventory control; ensures any changes to merchandise execution policies are seamless.
9. Communicate with executive management as appropriate on project status, risks, opportunities, etc. Provide analysis and reporting as requested.
10. Direct and guide team to provide ongoing support of any ongoing programs and future programs.
11. Manage and develop associates for growth and success within the organization; oversight of a team of sixty-four to include four managers, one supervisor, 2 trainers, eight analysts and fourty-nine merchandise assistants.
12. Perform other project management duties for ad-hoc projects, analysis or initiatives related to pricing, promotions and data integrity.
13. Other Duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Office work environment, 40+ work hours per week
Up to 10% travel may be required.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: B.A. or B.S. in business related field; Masters or postgraduate work in Business Administration, IT or related field is a plus.
Experience: Minimum 10-15 years in a retail environment to include 3+ years' management and data integrity experience with a focus
on operations and merchandising.
Job Related Skills: Ability to solve complex business problems is required. The ability to multitask and adapt to change while
managing the interests of multiple stakeholders towards a common goal. Strong interpersonal skills are required.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, SQL, ability to quickly learn new systems and business tools, understand and relate to IT concepts.
