Position Summary: The Staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for neonates, infants, toddlers, school-age children, adolescents, and young adults for a designated time frame and provides care to those patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environment, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor#s degree in nursing is required or must be able to obtain BSN Degree within three years of hire. Three to five years prior experience in a pediatric nursing setting preferred. Valid license or temporary permit to practice professional nursing in Louisiana. PALS certification within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association BLS- Required before hire.
